1. Soldering SuppliesFlux, Hard and Medium Solder, Soldering Block, Solder Pick (optional). Soldering joins pieces of metal by using solder, a metal alloy that melts at a lower temperature than the pieces being joined. Hard solder melts at a higher temperature than medium and so is used first in projects that require more than one soldering operation: the hard solder won't melt when you solder with Medium the second time. Flux helps solder flow freely by keeping metal pieces clean. A block is a heat-resistant surface to hold pieces for soldering; a pick lets you nudge solder into place. 8. Wire: Stepped Bezel and Pattern(no wider than 3mm for this project). Bezel wire is the stock used to create a band of metal, the bezel, that acts as a setting for a gemstone.
