Glass Crucible Kiln
Paragon has introduced a glass crucible kiln called the Vulcan. It heats glass to a molten state for mixing custom glass colors, making glass figurines, paperweights, blown vessels, and stringers. It is 131⁄2" wide by 18" deep and has walls that are 41⁄2" thick. A fiber board insert near the top reduces the firing chamber to 15" deep to confine the heat inside the kiln when the lid is opened. A separate bottom section with a row of 21⁄2" high wall bricks is designed to lift away if damaged by molten glass spills. Call (800) 876-4328, e-mail paragonind@att.net, or visit http://paragonweb.com. 2/05

Self-igniting Torch
Diamond Tech has created a line of bead-making tools called Fireworks, featuring a self-igniting flame, taking the fear out of lighting the torch. A push of a button ignites the flame. Call Delphi at (800) 428-2048, fax (800) 428-0374, e-mail info@delphiglass.com, or visit www.jewelryclay.com. (12/03)

Neycraft JFF2000 Furnace
Indian Jewelers Supply Company carries the Neycraft JFF2000 Furnace. It features a lightweight one-piece molded chamber (9" width x 6.5" height x 9" depth) with four-wall heating for even temperature distribution. It heads up to 1000°F in 15 minutes, with a maximum temperature of 2012°F. A programmable controller is available. Call (800) 546-6540, (505) 722-4451, or fax (888) 722-4172 or (505) 722-4172. Glass Bead Burner
Bethlehem Apparatus Company introduces the new Glass Bead Bench Burner. It is surface-mixing and has a wide flame range from a sharp, narrow flame (1/4" x 1") to a wider, long flame (3/4" x 12"). The full flame range is achieved by simply adjusting the fuel flow from the precision needle valves. The burner will work with natural gas (methane), propane, or hydrogen (all with oxygen). Call (610) 838-7034, fax (610) 838-6333, or e-mail bacohg@aol.com. (7/03)
